As is depicted in the picture, in front of a computer sits a college student selecting the curriculum. Of all the elements, exhibited in the cartoon is a compelling scene that he is choosing his optional class, considering whether to choose an easier course which can be easily accessible to a high score or to choose a tougher but creative course that contains novel knowledge and is hard to learn.
It is indisputable that the implication this profound illustration points out is that innovation is the part and parcel of one’s success and further advancement. Favorable are the impacts of innovation listed in the following regards. First and foremost, an innovative spirit can promote the advancement of both individuals and society as a whole. In addition, only those who are keeping on creating new things can make continuous progress and maintain competitive edge. To further illustrate the importance of innovation, I would like to take Steve Jobs as a case in point: how could he, who changed the way of modern communication, invent so many powerful electronic products without a creative spirit?
Building on the analysis as said or narrated above, indeed, the positive function of innovation has been elevated to a relatively high height as the society marches forward and becomes more competitive. At no time should we overlook the power of the consciousness of innovation. “Innovation is the spirit of human being’s progress.” A philosopher once said.
